Uganda’s Third Plan for National Statistical Development (PNSD III) provides the framework for the development of the country’s statistics over 2020/21 to 2024/25.  PNSD III aims to produce the statistics required for many of the indicators that measure progress on the country’s Third National Development Plan, as well as the national indicators that report on the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.  PNSD III is Uganda’s National Strategy for the Development of Statistics.

An Acacia Consulting staff member acted as international consultant to the PNSD IlI Mid-Term Review, which reported in November 2023.  Its overall objective was to establish how far the PNSD III’s strategic goals were achieved over the period 2020/21 – 2022/23.  The in-depth review covered strategy implementation; the challenges encountered during implementation; achievements; and identification of lessons learned. The results were intended to inform the remaining PNSD IIl implementation period and the preparation of the subsequent strategy.

Update: Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has published the evaluation report.
